🐰 Bunny-Proofing Checklist
🔌 Electrical Safety Cover or hide all wires and cords (use cord protectors or tubing). Block access behind electronics and appliances.
🌿 Hazards & Toxins Remove or secure all toxic plants (e.g., lilies, pothos, aloe). Keep cleaning products, medications, and other chemicals out of reach. Check furniture for dangerous gaps or places they can get stuck.
🧰 Furniture & Damage Prevention Cover baseboards and furniture legs if your bunny chews. Use baby gates or pens to block off off-limit rooms or stairs. Avoid leaving out books, shoes, or items they may chew on.
🚽 Bathroom & Kitchen Keep toilet lids closed. Store human food securely; many foods are unsafe for rabbits. Close cabinets or use childproof locks.
🛏️ Bunny Comfort Provide plenty of hay and chew toys to prevent destructive boredom. Ensure access to fresh water at all times. Set up a litter box in their main area with rabbit-safe litter.
🐇 Escape Prevention Keep windows and doors securely closed or screened. Check for small gaps or holes in walls or floors.
